Saint-Saturnin

Some twenty kilometres south of Clermont-Ferrand, between the Gorges de la Monne and the Veyre valley, Saint-Saturnin is not only home to one of the 5 major churches in Romanesque style typical of Auvergne but also an impressive castle which welcomed Catherine de Medici and Charles IX. Alongside this leading heritage can be found wash houses, lovely country houses, a Renaissance fountain and more.
