"Plants, Pleasures and Passions" becomes Eden, a festival celebrating plants and gardens
An hour’s drive from Paris, between Vétheuil (Val-d’Oise) and Giverny (Eure), the thousand-year-old château of La Roche-Guyon (Val-d’Oise) and its landscaped grounds have for many years provided the picturesque setting for “Plantes Plaisirs Passions”, an unmissable event featuring nearly 80 nursery growers and producers, associations, a bookshop, artists and craftspeople, as well as producers of wine, honey and other delicacies.
In 2026, this event is being reimagined to combine the art of gardening and contemporary creations with a passion for plants.
Sharing plants and the garden
Garden experts will be on hand to share their knowledge and chat with the public, offering fun and educational workshops, talks and quick guided tours.
Eden and contemporary creation
A pop-up exhibition entitled “Menus plaisirs” by Camille Chastang will adorn the château’s salons throughout the event. Her drawings and ceramics, with their floral motifs, are intended to reflect the sensuality of nature.
Architects Camille Clerc and Pierre-Yves Péré, and landscape architect James Bouquard, will also present their ‘folie’ project – an architectural work set to be built in the château’s fruit and vegetable garden in 2026.
