Local authorities, businesses, institutional bodies and tourism operators: a wide range of partners provide financial and/or technical support to the network and to the villages listed among Les Plus Beaux Villages de France^®.

Partner local authorities

As part of the ‘Remarkable Villages’ scheme, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region provides direct technical and financial support to the 22 villages listed among ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ for their development and enhancement projects.

The European Community of Alsace provides financial support to the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: Bergheim, Eguisheim, Hunawihr, Hunspach, Mittelbergheim and Riquewihr.

The Allier department provides financial support to the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme in respect of the listed village of Charroux.

The department of Aveyron provides financial support to the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: Belcastel, Brousse-le-Château, Conques, La Couvertoirade, Estaing, Najac, Peyre, Saint-Côme-d’Olt, Sainte-Eulalie-d’Olt, Sauveterre-de-Rouergue and Villeneuve.

The Charente-Maritime department provides financial support to the ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: Ars-en-Ré, Brouage (in the municipality of Marennes-Hiers-Brouage), La Flotte, Mornac-sur-Seudre and Talmont-sur-Gironde.

The Department of Corrèze provides financial support to the ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: Collonges-la-Rouge, Curemonte, Saint-Robert, Ségur-le-Château and Turenne.

The Creuse Department supports ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ in relation to the listed village of Chambon-sur-Voueize.

The Dordogne Department provides financial support to the ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: Belvès (in the municipality of Pays de Belvès), Beynac-et-Cazenac, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Domme, Limeuil, Monpazier, La Roque-Gageac, Saint-Amand-de-Coly (in the municipality of Coly Saint-Amand), Saint-Jean-de-Côle and Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère.

The Drôme Department provides financial support to the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: La Garde-Adhémar, Gignan, Mirmande, Le Poët-Laval and Montbrun-les-Bains.

The Eure Department provides financial support to the Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme in respect of the listed villages of Bec-Hellouin and Lyons-la-Forêt.

The Haute-Loire Department provides financial support to the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: Arlempdes, Blesle, Lavoûte-Chilhac, Lavaudieu and Pradelles.

The Loire Department provides financial support to the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme in respect of the listed village of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez.

The Loiret Department provides financial support to the Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme for the listed village of Yèvre-le-Châtel (in the municipality of Yèvre-la-Ville).

The Lot Department provides financial support to the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the listed villages of Autoire, Capdenac-le-Haut, Cardaillac, Carennac, Loubressac, Martel, Rocamadour and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.

The Lot-et-Garonne Department provides financial support to the Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme for the following listed villages: Monflanquin, Penne-d’Agenais, Pujols-le-Haut, Tournon-d’Agenais and Villeréal.

The Department of Lozère provides financial support to the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: La Garde-Guérin (in the municipality of Prévenchères) and Sainte-Enimie (in the municipality of Gorges-du-Tarn-Causses).

The Moselle Department provides financial support to the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme for the following listed villages: Rodemack and Saint-Quirin.

The Oise Department provides financial support to the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme in respect of the listed village of Gerberoy.

The Department of Orne provides financial support to the ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme in respect of the listed village of Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei.

The Puy-de-Dôme Department provides financial support to the ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the villages of Montpeyroux and Usson.

The Saône-et-Loire Department provides financial support to the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme in respect of the listed village of Semur-en-Brionnais.

The Var Department provides financial support to the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: Bargème, Bormes-les-Mimosas, Le Castellet, Cotignac, Gassin, Seillans and Tourtour.

The Vaucluse Department provides financial support to the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ scheme for the following listed villages: Ansouis, Gordes, Lourmarin, Ménerbes, Roussillon, Séguret and Venasque.

The Yonne Department provides financial support to the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France scheme in respect of the listed villages of Noyers and Vézelay.

Institutional partners

The Institute for French Craftsmanship

Since 2011, the Association and the Institute for French Craftsmanship have been working in partnership to showcase the many skills and creative trades found in Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, which take part in the European Artistic Crafts Days® every year.

France. Heritage & Exceptional Regions

Launched in 2020, the ‘France. Heritage & Exceptional Regions’ initiative brings together seven networks working to safeguard and promote heritage in all its diversity:

Towns and Artistic Crafts

This collective aims to cooperate, raise awareness of its approach through joint promotional activities, and develop tourism that respects both the environment and cultural heritage.

The Heritage Foundation

Established in 1996, the Heritage Foundation supports private and public owners in raising funds for the restoration of heritage sites. The work of this major player in the sector is carried out predominantly in rural areas (80 per cent of its projects). In 2023, Les Plus Beaux Villages de France and the Heritage Foundation signed a partnership agreement which will, in particular, raise awareness amongst Les Plus Beaux Villages de France of the funding and support tools for the restoration of private buildings developed by the Heritage Foundation – a fundamental aspect of the label’s quality approach.
