Bastides in Celebration

This autumn, 28 bastides come to life

‘Bastides en fête’ sees 28 bastides in the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne come alive for three days, much to the delight of families. As for Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, take part in the events on offer in Domme and Monpazier in the Dordogne, and in Monflanquin, Tournon-d’Agenais and Villeréal in Lot-et-Garonne.

Three days of exceptional events

Domme takes on a medieval flavour

The Bastide Royale de Domme is gearing up for an exceptional weekend with the latest edition of the Médiévales Fantastiques, on 25 and 26 October 2025.

For two days, the village will be transformed into a bustling medieval town, populated by legendary creatures and live performances:

  • A large medieval craft market on the Place de la Halle, featuring demonstrations of traditional crafts and activities for all ages.
  • A medieval tavern on the Place de la Halle and a demonstration of fresh apple juice pressing.
  • A lively medieval banquet on Saturday evening, followed by the spectacular lighting of the Porte des Tours.

Places are limited – be sure to book early.

Grand costumed parade on Sunday morning, open to all.

Musicians, stilt-walkers, jugglers, equestrian displays and a friendly atmosphere will transport the audience to a timeless world, for an immersive and festive experience.
