A trail marathon – either as a solo race or a relay – through four of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France” in the Périgord Noir
Join us on Sunday 26 October for a sporting challenge – either a marathon or a trail run, as a solo event or a relay – taking in four of the Périgord Noir’s certified villages: Domme, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Beynac-et-Cazenac and Belvès.
A trail race in four stages, to be run solo or in teams of two or four runners
Four stages will mark this route through fortified towns, castles and villages:
- Domme -> Castelnaud-la-Chapelle: 9 km, 180 D+
- Castelnaud-la-Chapelle -> Beynac-et-Cazenac: 10 km, 260 metres of elevation gain
- Beynac-et-Cazenac -> Château des Milandes: 9.5 km, 220 m elevation gain
- Château des Milandes -> Belvès: 15 km, 440 D+.
A special challenge: ‘The Most Beautiful Villages of France’
Each member municipality of the Most Beautiful Villages of France may form an “official” team and send it to represent its village. A special trophy will be awarded to the best team.
A fun-filled day for participants and spectators alike
Team spirit and a friendly atmosphere will be the hallmarks of this sporting event, and entertainment will be provided at each stage.
