Explore Rodemack, a medieval fortified town in Lorraine
On the border with Germany and Luxembourg, Rodemack charms visitors with its medieval charm and its 700 metres of ramparts that surround its cobbled streets. From the fortified gate of Sierck to the Maison des Baillis, every turn takes you back to another era. Nicknamed “Little Carcassonne of Lorraine”, the town invites you to stroll along its citadel and enjoy the panoramic views of the Land of Three Borders.

A native of Rodemack, Jean-Marie PELT (1933–2015), a qualified pharmacist with a degree in botany and a politician, founded the European Institute of Ecology in 1971. The municipality has named an educational nature trail created in the village after him.

Conférence - Les étoiles et l'univers
Come learn how science has uncovered the secrets of the stars and the universe! Following this summer’s magnificent phenomena (the eclipse and the Perseids), the AFIS Lorraine Committee invites you to a lecture open to everyone. Part One: Stellar Astronomy since the 19th century. Part Two: Modern Astrophysics. The lecture will be presented by Gérard Jenvrin, an engineer with a passion for science and a member of AFIS. Admission is free, subject to availability.

A Fun Cycle Route: In the Footsteps of Victor Hugo
Cycle in the footsteps of Victor Hugo! This 20-km ‘Baludik’ trail links Rodemack with the border landscapes of Luxembourg. Anecdotes, extracts from diaries and little puzzles punctuate this cultural and nature walk with the children.
Rodemack–Boler Cycle Route
From the medieval ramparts of Rodemack to the tower at Usselkirch, via the characteristic Bildstoks – a kind of wayside shrine – set off on a 17 km cycle route through the heart of the Three Borders region. It’s the perfect opportunity for a day out with friends!

Breathe, observe and explore! This 7.7 km nature trail links the citadel to the Moselle countryside and reveals all its botanical secrets. An easy walk to recharge your batteries as the warmer weather returns.
