The Ether Gallery presents *Encres*, an exhibition of drawings by Ofer Joseph, from September 19 to November 21, 2026, in Sancerre. Having been exhibited in New York, London, Amsterdam, and Paris, Ofer Josef’s work was highlighted at the Arles Drawing Festival in 2026. Lush, fantastical, funny, and terrifying all at once, this work—which some have described as Goyesque—exposes the flaws, vices, and excesses of our era in order to better free ourselves from them.

At the Château de Sancerre, a designated site of exceptional historical and cultural significance perched atop the village, Vincent Barré is exhibiting his sculptures in the park.

Vincent Barré is exhibiting a collection of monumental cast-aluminum sculptures in the gardens of Les Hauts de Sancerre, created from polystyrene models cut with a hot wire: Column, Core, Triple Hulls, Recumbent? Like archaeological fragments, they have an archaic quality and tell no story, yet they bear the traces of their creation—the striations, corrections, and splices—and bear witness to the work of the hand. Accessible to People with Limited Mobility Entrance is via the Porte César esplanade Last admission at 5:00 p.m.

Through a series of portraits and staged photographs, the project invites us to see people affected by cancer in a new light. Far from stereotypical representations of the disease, the images highlight individuals, their stories, their sensibilities, and their humanity.

From October 16 to 24, 2026, the Petite Maison de la Culture in Sancerre will host “%AB Un autre regard %BB,” a charitable photography exhibition organized as part of Pink October by the Paillettes & Pansements association. %C0 Through a series of portraits and staged photographs, the project invites viewers to see people affected by cancer in a new light. Far from stereotypical representations of the disease, the images highlight individuals, their stories, their sensitivity, and their humanity. Throughout the exhibition, visitors will be able to view a series of 15 photographs, taken by amateur and professional photographers, some of whom have personally experienced the disease, either directly or indirectly.

The evening will be hosted by Geoffrey Thierriaz, a former auctioneer’s clerk in Paris. The works will start at 50 €, which covers the cost of printing the photographs. The funds raised will be donated to the Gustave Roussy Institute to support cancer research. As this is recognized as a charitable donation, you are eligible for a tax deductionequal to 66% of your donation (up to a limit of 20% of your pre-tax revenue.)
