By joining alongside your local authority, you commit to upholding the fundamental values of our network, as set out in our hospitality charter, and you’ll contribute, alongside our network, to the vitality and reputation of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France.

Annual membership costs €50.
> Who can join? What are the selection criteria?
Prerequisites for all activities:
- Your business must be based within the municipal boundaries of one of the ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’
- Your business must be run on a professional basis
- You must accept and sign the hosting charter.
Accommodation open for at least 9 months of the year.
Hotels and tourist residences with a minimum 2* rating
Holiday villages with a minimum 3* rating
Campsites rated at least 3*
Furnished accommodation rated at least 3*
Bed and breakfasts and self-catering accommodation classified as Gîtes de France with a minimum of 3 ears of corn, or Clévacances with a minimum of 3 keys, or Chambre d’Hôte Référence
Other accommodation providers with a rating of at least 4/5 on both Google Reviews and TripAdvisor, with a minimum of 100 reviews (combined total from both review sites)
Restaurants open for at least 6 months of the year.
Restaurants recognised by one of the following labels, awards or leading guides: Maître Restaurateur, Restaurateurs de France, Logis (minimum 2 cocottes), Bistrots de Pays, Tables et Auberges de France, Qualité France, Michelin Guide, Gault & Millau, Cuisineries Gourmandes…
Other restaurants with a rating of at least 4/5 on both Google and TripAdvisor, with a minimum of 100 reviews (combined total from both review sites)
Festivals and ticketed events
Museums, eco-museums, visitor centres
Historic monuments
Parks and gardens (including those with the ‘Jardins Remarquables’ label)
Wildlife parks
Professional guides
Tourist information centres
Places to discover the local economy (including ‘Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant’ and ‘Bienvenue à la Ferme’)
Craftspeople and producers who regularly organise workshops or events for the public to learn about their craft
> Why become a member?
Your establishment will be featured on the network’s official website, on the page for the village where it is located, with a photo, a description and full contact details. The website attracts nearly 2 million visitors a year. Your establishment will also be marked on a map on the same page.
Partner service providers who have joined or renewed their membership before 15 October 2025 will be listed in the network’s official guide, published by Flammarion.
You will be able to display the vintage ‘Partner Service Provider’ logo on your website and in your establishment, using a window sticker which will be sent to you once your membership has been approved. The Les Plus Beaux Villages de France® trademark is protected and may not be used on your websites or promotional materials.
Member retailers are entitled to a 20 per cent discount off the retail price of products bearing the label’s brand, on any order of at least four products. And to thank you for joining, Les Plus Beaux Villages de France will also send you a guide and a map with your first order.
Be the first to receive news specifically for local stakeholders, as well as the internal e-newsletter “PointCom” (four times a year) and the e-newsletter for the general public “Vivons l’Exception!” (six times a year).

Check that you are eligible and sign the membership agreement
Fill in the membership application form and return it signed along with the welcome charter, or complete the form online
Once your application has been accepted, pay your annual membership fee of €50
