Christmas lights in Rochefort-en-Terre (Morbihan) 

In Rochefort-en-Terre, the Christmas lights have become an unmissable event for visitors seeking a magical atmosphere during the festive season. Situated 35 kilometres east of Vannes and the Gulf of Morbihan, the medieval town, voted a “Marvellous Christmas Village”, invites you to from Friday 28 November 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026 inclusive to treat you to a magical Christmas! From the afternoon onwards, the shopkeepers will welcome you to do your Christmas shopping, and as night falls, the village will be bathed in its most beautiful lights! Christmas trees and nativity scenes are also sure to fill you with wonder and reawaken the child within you!

Your Christmas activities in Rochefort-en-Terre

  1. Treat yourself! Indulge in a crêpe, a slice of kouign amann, some gingerbread, or the delicious Rochefort pralines…
  2. Join one of the guided tours organised by the Rochefort-en-Terre Tourist Office, under the festive lights.
  3. Go from magical to fantastic! Come and solve a mystery with the whole family at the Naïa Museum, a contemporary art museum and gallery dedicated to the arts of the imagination and the fantastical… A unique venue in Europe, situated in the castle grounds.

Christmas lights in Locronan (Finistère)

Fancy a Christmas where land meets sea? Head to Locronan, about fifteen kilometres from Quimper and just ten kilometres from the famous Bay of Douarnenez! As every year, the village will light up its beautiful granite façades from 13 December until 4 January.

Your Christmas activities in Locronan

  1. A bit of effort before the treats: before indulging in the delicacies and specialities on offer from Locronan’s artisans, take a stroll along one of the discovery trails offered by the Tourist Office! Discover the history of Locronan (a religious town, a weaving town…), take the ‘mountain’ trail to admire the exceptional panoramic view over Douarnenez Bay, or go for a stroll in the Nevet woods for a glimpse into Druidic mysteries…
  2. Art and craftsmanship: Locronan has a long tradition as a town of artisans and traders. Do pop into the workshops, galleries and other shops to find ideas for original, locally-made gifts!
