The River Voireuze

Next stop: Blesle, a former Benedictine centre on the banks of the Voireuze, home to medieval heritage.

Nestled between the river and the Auvergne mountains, Blesle invites you to enjoy a charming getaway in Haute-Loire. Founded around a Benedictine abbey in the 9th century, the town later became a fortress, whose keep, the Tour de Mercœur and half-timbered houses still bear witness to its medieval past.
