The Benedictine abbey, founded in the Middle Ages, turned the Senouire Valley into the 'Valley of God', after which the village is named. Boasting a Romanesque cloister and a Byzantine-inspired mural in its refectory, the abbey is one of the jewels of Auvergne’s religious heritage. The village's winegrowers' houses, with their golden stone and round tiles, reflect this heritage.

After a short "talk," a walk along the first 3 kilometers of the trail,by a group of volunteers over the past four years. Round trip: 6 km. The route is, of course, flat and runs through very wild surroundings. The guide is a naturalist.
