The Luberon: a region of fine wines and a relaxed way of life

Perched atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the vineyards, Ménerbes embodies the character of the Luberon region through its wines and truffles. Many artists, from Nicolas de Staël to Peter Mayle via Picasso, have been charmed by the village’s relaxed way of life.

Word of Mouth

What is the connection between the film *Le Père Noël est une ordure* and the village of Ménerbes? One man: Yves ROUSSET-ROUARD. Before serving as Mayor of Ménerbes from 1995 to 2014, Yves ROUSSET-ROUARD built a career in feature film production, some of which have since become cult classics. It was in 1974 that he successfully launched his film production career with the adaptation of the erotic literary masterpiece “Emmanuelle”. This was followed by around ten films, including “Les Bronzés”, “Les Bronzés font du Ski” and “Le Père Noël est une ordure”.
