Every Tuesday, from early May to late October, the Lourmarin farmers’ market takes on a rather special twist. On the esplanade of the village’s former fruit and vegetable co-operative – now transformed into a ‘digital fruit shop’ – the market sees a restaurant chef ‘turn up’ with his equipment in hand. Thanks to the summer kitchen lent by the local council and using produce sourced directly from the market stalls, the chef then gets to work preparing a recipe. A culinary spectacle that delights shoppers and food lovers alike!
