Visit Ansouis, in the heart of the Luberon: calades, castle and flavors of Provence
Ansouis, authentic jewel of the Vaucluse, welcomes you with its calades, golden facades, and its castle overlooking the valley of Aigues. Along the alleys, let yourself be surprised by the Church of Saint-Martin or by the panoramic views from the terraced gardens.
Here, we take advantage of the calm of the South to immerse ourselves in the terroir, taste the AOC wines of the Luberon and walk between the vineyards, in the heart of a preserved Provence.
A château overlooking the Grand Luberon
With its medieval castle, Romanesque church and sun-drenched cobbled streets, Ansouis blends its heritage with the relaxed Provençal way of life.
Word of Mouth
Saint Elzéar, born at Ansouis Castle, and his wife Delphine led a life of prayer and chastity. Every September, the people of Ansouis commemorate them with a Mass in the village church to mark the feast day of Saint Elzéar.
