200 million years ago, just a stone’s throw from Peyre, impressive theropods measuring 9 to 10 metres roamed the Causses! Discovered in 1997, these giant footprints still fascinate visitors today.

Dinosaur Walk
Set off on a family adventure to see the dinosaur footprints near Peyre! A short walk through the countryside takes you to the top of the cliff, where you’ll find the tracks of these gigantic theropods. Young and old alike can compare their feet with those of the dinosaurs and test their knowledge with the quiz set up on site!
Escape Game Apéro
How about combining a walk, puzzles and a gourmet aperitif? With “Escampar l’Apéro”, solve challenges throughout Peyre to unlock a mystery bag filled with local produce. An original and sociable activity, with a lovely reward!

Mountain biking in the Causses – ‘Navas’ Route No. 3
Grab your mountain bike and explore the Natural Park, winding your way through the Tarn valleys, medieval villages and spectacular panoramic views. A thrilling adventure through the landscapes of Aveyron, ending with a view of the Millau Viaduct at the end of a fairly challenging loop of nearly 32 km (allow 4 hours) and 867 metres of elevation gain!
Canoeing & stand-up paddleboarding
Fancy a refreshing outing? From the launch point 5 km from the village, head down the River Tarn by canoe, stand-up paddleboard or kayak and explore Peyre and the surrounding area from the river. With routes suitable for everyone, the unspoilt landscapes of the Gorges du Tarn will accompany you all the way!
