Explore the walled city

As you wander through the steep, narrow streets of Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste, let yourself be enchanted by the fountains, the wash houses and the murmur of the Guillema torrent. Between the Upper Town and the Lower Town, the village reveals its secrets, from its schist houses to its little chapels, punctuated by the sounds of the coblas.

Come along to the Place du Foirail on Fridays for the Prats market! Stroll through the stalls, have a chat with the stallholders, sample Vallespir honey, sheep’s and goat’s cheese, and local wines, and take home a little piece of Catalonia!

VISITE IMMERSIVE : LA SENTINELLE ENDORMIE

A unique experience that immerses visitors in the history of Fort Lagarde. Through a performance combining characters, horses, and a historic atmosphere, discover how to awaken a soldier who has been asleep for three centuries. A performance featuring Laura Bernocchi and her horses Sha and Poderoso, Simon Briant, as well as Simon Ribet and Délia Espinat-Dief.

Mountain bike trails

Hop on your mountain bike and set off on an adventure along the mountain trails around the village. From an easy 1½-hour route to a 4½-hour cross-border trail for seasoned cyclists, there are four routes of varying difficulty and duration to choose from, all starting from Prats. Take the time to admire the pastures, the herds of Gascon cows and the breathtaking views of the Pyrenees.

Thermal spa

In the lower part of the village, the Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste thermal baths await you for a wellness break at the thermal spa. Body treatments, balneotherapy and a beauty salon: enjoy some time together to recharge your batteries and relax completely.

Fishing on the River Tech

Whether you’re a casual angler or a keen enthusiast, why not try your hand at fishing along the Upper Tech Valley? Trout and a variety of other fish await you, with ‘No-Kill’ zones where you can release your catch. Spend a peaceful afternoon enjoying the tranquillity and cool waters of the river.

Tour de Mir hike

Follow in the footsteps of the history of the Catalan Pyrenees as you climb up to the Tour de Mir, a former 13th-century signal tower. This five-hour walk takes you through high-mountain landscapes, offering stunning panoramic views of the Vallespir and medieval ruins.
