Eguisheim, an Alsatian gem nestled amongst vineyards and half-timbered houses
Just a stone's throw from Colmar, Eguisheim reveals its medieval alleyways, its concentric layout and its colourful half-timbered houses. Its ramparts are home to a living heritage, from Saint-Léon Castle to the cellars of grand cru wines. Eguisheim embodies all the charm of Alsace, from its well-preserved history to its renowned vineyards, where a wine tasting is a must.
In the colours of Alsace
Cobbled streets, brightly coloured facades adorned with flowers and breathtaking views of the vineyards: get ready to be dazzled!
Word of Mouth
Transformed into a landscaped area, the ‘Millennium Park’ – a former industrial wasteland in the village – is home to a ‘Newlyweds’ Rose Garden’. Each year, a rose bed is created to pay tribute to the weddings celebrated the previous year. The rose beds are surrounded by a steel ring symbolising a wedding ring, on which the names of the happy couples are engraved!
