NaturOparC

This 5-hectare wildlife park, situated in the heart of former marshlands, was originally dedicated to the reintroduction of storks. It is now also home to the European hamster, the otter and the great cormorant.

Listed as a Historic Monument along with its fortified walls, the village church has a rather unusual clock. Whilst most clocks on buildings gradually had a second hand added from the late 17th century onwards, the one in Hunawihr has retained the single-hand design. The clock also has the distinctive feature of paying homage to its surroundings and one of the village’s main industries by displaying a bunch of grapes and vine leaves!

Halloween is coming to %E0 NaturOparC! A scavenger hunt, meet-and-greets, creative workshops, and theatrical performances will immerse young and old alike in a mysterious atmosphere right in the heart of the wildlife park.

During the All Saints' Day break, NaturOparC is decked out in its fall colors and filled with the spirit of Halloween! Young and old alike are invited to discover the park in a whole new way through a program full of mysteries and surprises. As you explore, set out in search of a magic spell through a self-guided scavenger hunt, meet theSpirit, and head home with some treats, or let your creativity run wild during the workshops offered for children. A theatrical presentation, “The Secret World of the Night,” also takes visitors into the fascinating world of nocturnal animals, blending mystery, observation, and discovery. Children in costume also enjoy half-price admission throughout the All Saints’ Day school break. And to keep the Halloween spirit alive, a special program is offered during the long weekend of October 31 and November 1, featuring pumpkin-themed animal feedings, enchanting face-painting sessions, and creative workshops. A fun, family-friendly outing in the heart of a wildlife park dedicated to the conservation of local species.
