Created on the initiative of the Riquewihr football club, the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ veterans’ football tournament was symbolically launched in 1998, the year France hosted the World Cup. Designed to strengthen ties between the residents of the ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’, this event has been running for over 20 years. Every year during Ascension weekend, the organising village and its football club face a huge challenge, as they have to host nearly fifteen teams and their supporters – a total of nearly 500 people!

Marché de Noël traditionnel de Riquewihr
Stroll through the illuminated streets of one of France's 'Most Beautiful Villages' and discover Riquewihr's traditional Christmas Market, nestled in a picturesque, fairytale setting.
Riquewihr, which for centuries has combined the quality of its architecture with that of its astonishingly well-preserved heritage, is a must-see when discovering Alsace. At Christmas time, the town is aglow with light, and offers its traditional Christmas market in a magical setting that combines the spirit of Christmas with everything that makes Alsace so charming: the streets are adorned with sparkling decorations, facades and monuments are illuminated, and the Christmas market stalls come alive? this joyful effervescence recalls the world of childhood, filled with memories and emotion? To facilitate access to this magical place, a "Perles de Noël" Parking-Relay has been set up at Naturoparc, Route de Ribeauvillé in Hunawihr (68150). This practical service offers 220 parking spaces at a single rate of 10? per vehicle, including access to the parking lot and shuttle bus for all vehicle occupants. Payment is possible in cash or by credit card. The shuttle runs between Naturoparc and the Riquewihr Christmas Market every 30 minutes, from 9:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays November 29 and 30, December 6 and 7, December 13 and 14, and December 20 and 21, 2025. The new system offers a simple, comfortable and environmentally-friendly way to enjoy the magic of Christmas in Riquewihr, while keeping traffic in the village to a minimum.
