Word of Mouth

Estaing also owes its fame to Saint Fleuret. A bishop of Clermont known for his miraculous healings, he died here in the 5th century. Ever since, the village has celebrated him on the first Sunday in July.

Le Son & Lumière d'Estaing : 1 000 ans d'histoire

the "Son & Lumière d'Estaing : 1 000 years of history" tells the story of the Estaing family and the castle, at nightfall, during a lighting show of the building. Every Wednesday evening from mid-June to mid-September (see dates).

Free, open-air show. As soon as night falls, meet on the gothic bridge and around the bridge chapel, facing the village to discover the history of the castle and the Estaing family. The show lasts about 25 minutes.
