Nestled amongst vineyards and green hills, Fourcès will surprise you with its uniqueness: built around a fortress that no longer stands, this medieval “new town” has a circular layout, which is quite rare in the South-West.

Under the plane trees in the main square, you can stroll beneath the arcades, linger in front of the half-timbered façades and savour the Occitan way of life.

As the seasons change, the village comes to life: flowers in spring, jazz in summer, flea markets in autumn… A village that’s full of life, always on the go, and makes you want to come back!

Why not immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of Fourcès? In spring, head to the ‘flower market’, one of the most renowned in the region, and in early August, get into the swing of things at ‘Jazz in Fourcès’. Not to mention the ‘Alambic Party’ at the Domaine de Magnaut in December, to celebrate the Flamme de l’Armagnac and enjoy a friendly get-together!

Viewpoint at Portes d’Orée (Clef des Champs No. 3)

With your explorer’s bag in hand, set off on a hunt for the ‘Clés des Champs’, which will help you better appreciate and understand the landscapes of the Gers-Armagnac region. Scenic viewpoints, little treasures to unearth, sensory treasure hunts… a fun-filled adventure that sparks the curiosity of young and old alike! With the Clef des Champs No. 3 at the foot of the Fourcès water tower, a 360° panorama awaits you...

Outdoor escape game

Dare to embark on an adventure and unravel the ‘Mystery of the Occitan Cross’! In this outdoor escape game, work as a team to track down the Basilisk that haunts Fourcès and solve puzzles and challenges! An hour of gameplay to explore the village in a different way and learn more about Occitan culture!

Walk from Fourcès to Sainte-Quitterie

Get away from it all on this 9.5 km walk through the village’s vineyards (PR No. 16). During this walk, which takes around 3 hours, you’ll pass through the Gascon countryside, with a stop to visit the Romanesque church at Laspeyres.
