Larressingle, a medieval town in the Armagnac region and a stop on the Way of St James in Gascony

Larressingle stands proudly with its ramparts amidst the vineyards of the Armagnac region. This 13th-century fortified town, nicknamed the ‘Little Carcassonne of the Gers’, takes you back to its medieval past with its keep, its Romanesque church, its drawbridge and its golden-stone houses. Just a stone’s throw away, the Pont de Lartigue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, bears witness to the passage of pilgrims on the route to Santiago de Compostela. A journey back in time… to the gentle rhythm of Gascony.
