A Hospitaller village in the Drôme Provençale

About twenty kilometres from Montélimar, Le Poët-Laval lies in the Jabron valley, surrounded by fields of lavender and wheat. Formerly a commandery of the Order of Saint John, the village has preserved the castle, the ruins of the Romanesque chapel of Saint-Jean-des-Commandeurs, and the ramparts from that era.
