Octobre Rose - 24 h Chrono Créatif au Centre Social Eclats

Workshops organized as part of Pink October by the Eclats Community Center. A hat will be provided to collect donations. All donations will be donated to the Les Elles Roses 47 association. > Wednesday, the 14th, through Friday, the 16th: from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., creative workshops open to everyone at the Social Center. > Saturday, the 17th: from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., creative workshops continue. > Friday, the 16th: a big “Pink October” evening at the Villeréal market hall. Opéra : Macbeth

As part of its cultural program, the Mairie de Villeréal (Villeréal town hall) is offering a giant-screen live retransmission of Macbeth from the Met in New York. Verdi takes Shakespeare's masterpiece and delivers a drama of gripping darkness and power. This new production by Louisa Proske, under the musical direction of conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, features two exceptional artists: baritone Quinn Kelsey in the title role and soprano Lise Davids as Lady Macbeth. Synopsis: In Scotland, General Macbeth receives a prophecy from three witches: he will become king. Driven by Lady Macbeth's all-consuming ambition, he murders King Duncan to seize the throne. But guilt and paranoia take hold of the cursed couple, driving them into a spiral of violence and madness from which they will not escape unscathed.

It has now been nearly three centuries since the treasure of Villeréal disappeared... Using the various clues you’ll find in the bastide, travel back in time and help the residents of Villeréal recover this precious legacy, which has served the community well since the Middle Ages: a reward awaits you! Register online or in person. The treasure hunt is created and organized by the Cœur de Bastides Tourist Office. It is available on days when the Tourist Office is open (Wednesday through Saturday): mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (last departure) and afternoons from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (last departure). At least one adult must accompany and supervise the participating children. Please bring a pen and arrive on time!

Bastides en Fête 2026 - marché et après-midi jeux sous la halle

3rd edition of “Bastides en Fête,” the festive, cultural fall event dedicated to the bastides. On the schedule for Saturday (October 24) in Villeréal: > Traditional market in the morning from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the market hall and in the heart of the bastide. All year round, summer and winter alike, since 1269, this market has brought together dozens of vendors. A place of conviviality and community, it is a must-see event in the region. A grandiose spectacle for the eyes and ears, Samson et Dalila deploys an imposing orchestra and chorus in the service of spellbinding music, including the famous aria "Mon c?ur s'ouvre à ta voix" ("My heart opens to your voice"). Darko Tresnjak's staging, under the direction of Giacomo Sagripanti, features a striking duo: mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina opposite tenor Clay Hilley. Synopsis: In ancient Palestine, Samson, a Hebrew hero of legendary strength, leads his people's revolt against the Philistines. The seductive Delilah, sent by the High Priest of Dagon, uses all her charms to discover the source of his power. Samson, blinded by love, finally reveals his secret to her.

A lecture organized by the Université du Temps Libre du Pays Villeréalais and presented by Jean Claude Gallard, musicologist and composer. Birds have developed complex, elaborate, and fascinating vocalizations. The graphical representation of their songs in the form of sonograms allows us to discover that birdsong possesses all the characteristics of human music. This reaffirms our connection to the animal world. The lecture will demonstrate this through listening, analysis, and comparisons with the key characteristics of our music.
