Good wines and convivial living in Alsace

Set amidst a landscape of vineyards at the foot of Mont Saint-Odile, this stronghold of the Zotzenberg grand cru is unmistakably shaped by its winemaking heritage. This is evident in everything from the architecture of the winemakers' houses, which open onto large courtyards, to the 'Weinschlag', a precious collection containing a wealth of information on the vineyard and wine dating back to 1510. This collection can be found behind the doors of the charming Renaissance town hall.

A culinary tradition in Mittelbergheim

During Advent, the village buzzes with activity as preparations get underway for the ‘Bredelmarik’, the Alsatian Christmas biscuit market. The famous Bredele, traditional biscuits typical of the Alsace region, stand out from other biscuit specialities due to their vast variety. The Mittelbergheim market is therefore the perfect opportunity to discover over thirty varieties of these little Christmas biscuits. The next generation is also being nurtured, as a biscuit-making workshop passes on this expertise to children.
